REMINDER: CEF Awards tonight at the Firkin Crane

Dear Mr. Archive,

A quick reminder of the treats in store tonight at the Cork Environmental Forum annual awards held in the Firkin Crane, Shandon, Cork City. 

This is open to all, so why not come down and enjoy an evening of positive stories and acknowledge some of the fine work being done across society to ensure a sustainable future for our children and grandchildren?

 


 

It is with great pleasure that the winners of the 2010 CEF Annual Awards are announced. Presentations will be made at our annual end-of-year gathering at the Firkin Crane, Thurs 16th starting at 7.15pm. All welcome for an evening of positivity and heartening stories.

Winning this prestigious award is recognition for hard work, work well done and work that is of tremendous benefit to the community and the environment. This year, as always, there are prizes in each of the four pillars of society: Business, Community & Voluntary, Public Sector and Outstanding Individual.

NEW
this year is the inaugural Cork County Community Garden Award. This has been in the making for a couple of years, tying in with the local award competitions in Bandon, Clonakilty and Kinsale. A pure celebration of the initiative, craft, productivity and surprising abundance of community gardeners in the county.

 

Two winners have been chosen to reflect the high standard of local competitions in 2009 and 2010.

Cork County Community Garden Award 2009:  Clonakilty Kindergarten

Cork County Community Garden Award 2010: St. Mary's Terrace, Kilmurray


This presentation of the awards is open to all. Wine and cheese will be provided. Starts 7.15pm.

 

WHAT? CEF Annual Awards

A wonderful night of positivity guaranteed at the Cork Environmental Forum awards on Thursday 16th December at the Firkin Crane.

For years, the annual CEF awards have celebrated the stories of unsung heroes whose actions have served to bolster, protect or establish environmental, community or sustainable initiatives.


This year, as always, there are prizes for Business, Community & Voluntary, Public Sector and an Outstanding Individual.
