Dear Mr. Archive,
National Bike Week takes place form the 16th – 24th June 2012 and the organisers of events in Cork City and County have come up with an interesting and varied range of activities to partake in for the week which it is hoped many of you can participate in. We also need additional stewards for the Family Fun Cycles on the 17th & 24th June - if you would like to volunteer please contact Kevin McSweeney, Transportation Division, Cork City Council at 021 4924073 or kevin_mcsweeney@corkcity.ie.

Operation Transportation: This is a new initiative for 2012 which runs for the week. The mission of “Operation Transportation” is to get at least 6 people in Cork, who normally don’t cycle regularly, to pedal a bike every day, during Bike Week. Consider volunteering for the “Operation Transportation” Team. You will get a free fitness check, free cycle safety training, opportunities to participate in fun group cycles and a chance to raise money for your favourite charity! Plus there is also the satisfaction of proving to your friends and family that you can rise to challenge! See here for further details and the Application Form. CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS IS: JUNE 4th 2012
