Dear Mr. Archive,
This is a final reminder of the Growing Seminar/ Showcase event taking place on Saturday in Farranree.

Farranree Community Centre, Pophams Road
Saturday 28th April 2012
10am -1pm

CEF is hosting this event to inform people of the various opportunities to get involved with growing food, to highlight the many wonderful projects that are already building resilience in communities and to learn more about food sovereignity, how to make marginal land more productive, the importance of bees and ways to attract them to your garden.

Speakers from: The Glen & District Community Garden, Churchfield and Carrigaline Allotments, Fruitful Community Apple Harvest & Future Orchard with Presentations on: Food Sovereignty: Dr. Colin Sage; Attracting Bees to Your Garden: Tim Rowe; Transforming Marginal Land: John Dolan.

Projects are welcome to bring along promotional displays and information. After the seminar there will be an opportunity to visit either Churchfield  Allotments or the Community Garden in Blackpool. Unfortunately it is now not possible for the cafe to open.

Directions: Popham’s Road is directly opposite the entrance to Blackpool Shopping Centre. Parking near the Community Centre will be limited. If parking at the Shopping Centre you will need to cross at the traffic lights, after crossing the Commons Road you then go directly straight up Popham’s Road. Dino’s Restaurant will be on your right at the corner of the Commons Road and Popham’s Rd. The Centre is on the right between Kilnap Place and Killeen’s place and just after the Pharmacy and Post office which are on the left. See map.

This is a Free event and all are welcome.
